Vicky Woodings – The Bourne Academy, Dorset 2017

“The e-portfolio was excellent as it allows you to upload evidence quickly and easily and can fit around your existing workload. The assessors are easily contactable and approachable should there be any issues or concerns.”

We have developed our approach to support a range of educational providers towards achieving and maintaining the Quality in Careers Standard:

Primary, secondary, independent, special schools and pupil referral units

Training providers, Sixth Form and Further Education Colleges

Common to all education providers seeking to achieve the Standard is:

  • Self-assessment leading to the development of an action plan to meet the Quality Standard
  • Submission of evidence to meet the outcome indicators
  • External assessment by qualified and occupationally competent assessors which includes discussions with staff, governors, partners and students.

In order to ensure that The Quality in Careers Standard is challenging, but at the same time manageable, it is organised into three specific stages covering 8 elements in total which meet The Quality in Careers Standard requirements.

The costs are:

Full Award – £1650

Primary Award – £850

Re assessment – £750

*All costs are plus VAT

“Leigh Academies Trust is committed to providing all pupils with a high-quality careers learning programme. Engaging all academies; primary, secondary and our special academy in the Investors in Careers process has enabled leaders to reflect on the opportunities and the experiences we are providing pupils on a daily basis. This will ensure that we continue to equip our pupils with lifelong career management capabilities.”
